I think he's finding his legs and what works. He isn't naturally a no-nonsense back talker. I think he might be too nice, and starting out the speeches, clap backs and attempts to have a "fighter" persona were a little flat (baseball bat pictur). This more genuine emotion is a much better fit.

I'm not buying it. They wanted to cave, and Chuck was more than happy to let them orchestrate it, to give them the optics of "fighting" while shielding those who wanted to cave. Honestly, they should have said it with their chest so we could have a real idea of how cowardly the senate democrats are.

We got nothing but a promise, which is from the same party that wasn't going to touch the east wing. You all did nothing, a performative shutdown that ended with a whimper. This is likely the last time Dems get a say in anything way to go out like cowards. Let's see if we make it to midterms.

Tbh one silver lining to Trump being able to do whatever the fuck he wants is that he is building more nuclear energy now or at least I read. And when people realize AI isn't all that useful to everyday consumers and there aren't really any huge numbers to be made, the plants will still be there.

I'm not sure how I feel about this on one hand nuclear power is great, and the benefits outweigh the costs, but on the other hand, wtf is this weird non-free market funding thing. Don't the usually do like tax credits , subsidies or other free market manipulation to get their desired outcome.

I listened to an NPR report yesterday, and the consequences of that happening are grave. They mentioned that if they do, even giving a water bottle to a person they deem, "antifia" could carry charges up to 10 years, IRC. It would be considered contributing to a terrorist organization.

This is just an excuse to arrest anyone they deem an "enemy." It will be interesting to see what the charges are. They will try to call anyone who doesn't agree "antifa"

Love the enthusiasm for the general strike, but I think we need to build a stronger core. It's one thing to get people out on a weekend, but I don't think we are ready as a movement or a nation for that level of disruption without support from the state or local government.
