Unemployed Anger Management Olympics Hopeful
How many people are sitting at home, right now, with gnawing, hungry bellies tonight? Lawmakers decided to add a little extra pay day into the bill, and no one objected for the "greater good" of reopening the government.

These politicians do not give one single shit about you.

Has ANYONE involved in this ever gone a day without food? People are supposed to sit around and starve while they wait for politicians to handle things? And what about when Thursday comes? The money won't flow by the end of business Friday so they'll wait all weekend? www.nbcnews.com/politics/sup...
Supreme Court extends temporary pause on $4 billion in SNAP payments for November
A deal in Congress to end the government shutdown includes full SNAP funding through September and could mean the Supreme Court does not have to issue a ruling later.

I am so sick of this government holding us hostage and taking things away from women. How many laws tell a man what to do with his body? Every swinging dick would revolt.

98% of Congress doesn't even know where my clit is. Stay the fuck out of our vaginas. www.nbcnews.com/politics/con...
Republicans demand tougher abortion restrictions to extend Obamacare funds
Democrats say that’s a nonstarter, arguing there are already limits on abortion access. The dispute could torpedo a deal, leading to higher health insurance premiums for millions.

You can see the contrast between decadence and poverty in any city if you actually look.

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

The Democrats made us go through all of this BS and drama, and it was all for nothing. They have won nothing here, and they will win nothing in the future. The people who didn't support them see them as a nuisance that disrupted their lives. I see them as weak & ineffective. Nothing but losers.

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 95th day out of the last 107.

12 days of work in 107 days.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

Take a break from doom scrolling and read about insanity of a different kind. My book is now #45 on the Amazon Best Sellers list under the 30-Minute Humor & Entertainment category! I screamed a little and did a happy dance when I saw it.

They "don't have the funding" to give citizens food but they can bail out Argentina and build a gigantic ballroom. I wish people would wake up. This is so frustrating.

This AWS outage has revealed to me that more platforms run on Amazon products than I thought, and it should be a cautionary tale of just how fast shit can be taken from you when you allow corporations to be this big with little competition.

Remember the last time the government was shut down forever? You know, when Trump was president?
People were paid their SNAP benefits in advance while funding was still available. The White House has the power to do that. Just like the Republicans can end this shutdown and protect subsidies.

Have you ever trained a new hire and thought, "How does this person cross the street without getting hit?" They can't do the simplest of things, they have no experience - it's baffling.

MAGA doesn't trigger libs. The left is frustrated. You should've learned about all this shit in grade school.

This is what the government spent on SNAP for fiscal year 2024. The government states that funding cannot be guaranteed for November...the equivalent of $8.3 billion based on these numbers...yet they will bail out Argentina with $40 billion.
