There's 2 cases in the courts right now. (Tincher v. Noem) and (Minnesota v. DHS). In the former, the judge granted a partial TRO to stop ICE aggression against protesters. In the later, today Jan 19 is a deadline for the feds to respond. There's another deadline for the state on the 22nd.

4/18 This started way before the troops arrived. Trump revoked TPS for Somalis on Nov 21, 2025. He called the community "garbage" on Truth Social. The "Metro Surge" is just the forceful arm of that revocation order. They are trying to force a mass exodus via intimidation.
