Laverne & Shirley featured best gal pals navigating a slew of I Love Lucy-esque misadventures in the 1950s-1960s, except through the lens of single women. In my opinion, it's one of the funniest shows of all time and one that I treasure.

While Laverne & Shirley were intended to simply be one-off characters, Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams went so hard that they earned their own show.

Laverne & Shirley was a spin-off of the popular 1970s sitcom Happy Days, which starred the likes of Henry Winkler as the cooler than cool "Fonzie" and Ron Howard as the adorkable Richie Cunningham.
