Yep, next time you watch the first two films keep a listen for street names, local towns etc and you'll totally recognize. :)

I'm sorry! This is a tough one. Hit me really hard when I heard about it at work earlier.

From a comment over at YT:

"This is awful. They used stem separation tech, then used those stems to guide what I assume is an AI vocal trained on 1980ish John Lennon and then tried to make a second vocal out of it, using what I assume is Melodyne to steer the new track with midi."

I do as well. It really is fucking crazy just how much everything has fallen apart.

I'll have to read your piece. I honestly just haven't much cared for her work since SOMEWHERE, which actually might turn out to be my favorite of her films. I do agree that PRISCILLA was her best since SOMEWHERE absolutely. I think the only film by her I've genuinely disliked was ON THE ROCKS.

I have very mixed feelings about Sofia these days but these first four films will always be amongst my most cherished. Lost in Translation was actually my favorite film of the 2000s.
I lost my faith in Sofia but I'll always believe in those 4 films.

This is absolutely disgusting. Cheering on a psychopathic murderer like MbS to buy an 'American' studio just so a director they like can get a job is so beyond gross. These people are awful.
