3 - It felt like I was losing something. I miss my dad (he's still with us, just do not see him as much), and I'll miss Ryne Sandberg and what he meant to my childhood.

2 - Mostly, though, I think that I was upset that I felt that a very special time in my life was ending. I was out of the military and on my own, no longer living with the man who spent countless amounts of money on baseball cards and time in cards shops with me.

Holy crap...same for me! Collected cards with my dad for years, but never had his Topps rookie card until I was in my late 20's. It was the final piece to my collection.

Personally going the opposite direction...playing long jams to help usher them out the door faster. Bonus points for the number of times I get to hear "is this the same song".
