imagine tuning your guitar to basically a power chord and then writing a hit song and going on your merry way like everything is normal

had a heck of a time trying (and failing) to figure this song out without looking at tabs

obviously the general ideas of the main riffs are easy but nothing sounded right

Not for nothing but apparently Chris Cornell really struggled with songwriting and Fell On Black Days had been floating around for years before he finally figured it out. The demo, for example, is wildly different
