as for the "what" to draw, i struggled with having too many "whats" and didn't know what to draw first and it made me freeze up being creative. I thought too much of what I thought other people wanted to see. It made me burn out eventually.
Draw what interests you. Just keep drawing things you like

form, and now I don't struggle at all drawing faces or sameface style. Because I know what the "invisible structure" behind the art piece is, if that makes sense. Tracing will help with finding the shapes, but if you rely on tracing you will never understand the "why" so you can make your own why

when i say "figure out the why", i realized as an older artist (comparing to how i thought as an artist when i was younger) that you REALLY DO have to know how something functions to draw it well, even very stylistically. Eg: drew faces a lot, learned what shapes comprise a skull at its most basic-

pick something you like (an object, an animal, a PART of an animal, literally anything) and start there. Break it down into SUPER simple shapes. Figure out why they are shaped like that internally for its function. then add more shapes. Then detail those shapes. It can be with lineart or paint style

Speaking as an artist of 20+ years, it literally feels that way for us for most things we haven't specifically honed! That's just how it is. Some things you learn how to fill the gap with visual tricks rather than detail.
