I think a big part of this reaction is down to how at least in the last 8 years, right wing voices have been given the same respect as everyone rightly should but ever increasingly right wing figures have abused their platforms for misinformation and increasingly more socially repugnant views.

Yeah, it’s more that the devs are actually able to execute the artistic vision they were constrained by hardware limitations when ARR was developed. As well as keeping the visuals of the game more consistent from beginning to the most recent stuff.
