Exactly it tells them not to obey illegal orders and they only answer to the law and the constitution not the orange twat. I was commissioned in the UK and our oath was to the queen (now king) and not to any government. A fine line but with a mention for both sets of officers.

You are right however this is not the oath that the officers swear where it specifically talks about legal orders.

That’s because an officer is supposed to evaluate whether the order they are being given is legal. The enlisted men are in a more difficult position ( or easier) in that they are instructed to follow the orders of their senior officers. It is a fine distinction but important.
