Played a little board game last night that is packaged not in a box, but a tiny little backpack, awesome.
I learned that game sits in a normal board game box on store shelves, and thought that was a strange decision.

Working on #boardgames, toying with some different ideas, and stumbled on some Guilty Gear vibes with the "behind the action" lettering. It's fun enough to screenshot, but I'm definitely not sticking with it.

Okay so rulebooks, there's an opportunity to reinforce the things you want to be immediately apparent about your game, right?
How thematic do you allow your rules to be? How sarcastic? Assuming it reads well, is understood, how far can you really push the creative limits? 🎲✂️

Playing the #boardgame Dungeon Degenerates and I would describe it as "greasy". Lots of rules referencing, and I feel like I need to wash my hands after. Fun for goofing off with patient friends

Sometimes in Search for Planet X it's better to act with your gut and play theories before you confirm them.

Knuckle Down: Animal Boxing uses different-color card backs (to show when cards are aggressive, defensive, etc).
I put it off a long time, but I finally got some clear card sleeves and can fully appreciate the card back art 🎨
