Don't fall for their lies!
Republicans LIE more easily than breathing. Their latest made-up story is that Democrats want to expand healthcare to undocumented immigrants – but this is a LIE. Only American citizens are eligible for taxpayer-funded healthcare – and Republicans know it. Republicans plan to CUT healthcare subsidies while giving MORE tax breaks to billionaires – and trick you into blaming anyone else but them. And, they’re willing to shut down the government to do it. Democrats are fighting to make healthcare affordable for working Americans like YOU. Headline: Don't Fall for Republican Lies!

Florida Governor #RonDeSantis is spending OUR tax dollars to fund his makeshift, reckless, and inhumane concentration camp! Shut down the so-called #AlligatorAlcatraz now!

June 19: Juneteenth, Freedom Day On January 1, 1863, President Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, establishing that all enslaved people in Confederate states shall be then, thencefort,h and forever free, but in reality, the Emancipation Proclamation did not apply to many states, and it wasn't enforced consistently across the South until the Civil War ended years later. On June 19th, 1865, Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, with the announcement that the more than 250,000 enslaved Black people in the state were free. As news of emancipation spread, newly freed Black Americans began to celebrate, and the Juneteenth tradition started. The 13th Amendment was ratified 6 months later, officially abolishing slavery across the United States. On Juneteenth, we celebrate freedom culture, power, and progress. Tomorrow's the big day! Please be safe and mindful of your surroundings. Some guidelines for staying nonviolent and strategic during the protest:
Don't sit down in a protest. It's harder to get up quickly, especially for those with mobility issues. Tear gas sinks - people on the ground are at higher risk. Staying mobile helps peace marshals de-escalate. Consider these alternatives: stand silently, link arms, walk slowly, and document what you see. Nonviolence works best when it's strategic!
