Let’s pause & distribute what there is already, before we try to grow again.
Love it - this is how the world of work should be!

2/2 and setting clear targets to demonstrate control should ( could ) diffuse the negative rhetoric.

Logical approach - facing the reality of demand, both from those wishing / needing to come here + the obvious need for people ( demographic change ) under the current ( nonsense in my view ) economic model, is the most sensible way to look at this….1/2

Makes perfect sense! I’m all for small steps and not making perfect the enemy of good - just thought I’d missed something.

I can see how the demand might drop initially i.e while there are people to return/ be swapped with but what about when there are no returnees ? We still need legal safe routes that don’t require some failed applications to swap with? Or am I missing something?

Same as the nonsense about household budgets being the same as the country’s budget - I wish my household could print its own money!

Great interview with TP - glad to finally hear someone talking about the nonsense of trickle down and challenging the economic model

Yes Zack!!! Love the approach and the pushback on the economic model on Sky. Keep on keeping on.

I’m not excusing it & I agree with you - To stop it people need to see & believe, there is an alternative to the current ‘model’ and they need to focus on changing the game not blaming the players. The model needs to be optimised to provide a good standard of living for all not enriching the few

Great article - whether it’s wealth taxes or some other way, we need to stop this hoarding of money, otherwise the hoarders will continue to outcompete everyone else for everything! And when all the food / energy / health / justice etc is in the hands of so few the rest will be (even more) f****d

Nice bit of, small d, disaster capitalism & Interesting as the chairman of the Arora group of hotels that, according to their website, runs the Heathrow Sofitel, was on Sky News yesterday bemoaning how bad the country / government / airport is for ‘letting’ this happen.

I am not a fan of the royal family but this would be a great use of them

Crazy - and to state the obvious, ‘not even noticing’ means £1bn at 5% int & 40% tax, they would get £577k / week or 19 YEARS avg UK earnings

165 uk billionaires could get 19yrs wages each week if they JUST had £1bn

and we have people sleeping in shop doorways and others in gold carriages 😳

Renting out a property that you don’t own outright should be illegal. Having a ‘spare’ property in a housing shortage should be illegal. The government (BoE) should provide all mortgages at base rate and stop profit being made on ‘homes’. The interest could be seen as government revenue.

Billionaire protection plan - sell Bluesky shares to the existing users for $27 each and make it a democracy with mass votes on major changes 😁

Not that I approve but at least he’s in plain sight with an official title. Murdoch & Rothermere et al have been driving policy from the shadows
