Pressure on elected officials to radically change what they've been doing?
Just seems like, "Hey, we're mad about a thing." Okay, and then, what?

I get your point, but that as a goal seems rather subjective and unquantifiable.
Like, how many congresspeople truly give a damn about their constituents? Doesn't seem like many.
And if they won their seat by large enough margins, that dissent may not even matter.
