Hasn't been much of a winter, though we did get are sub zero Temps. The crew has survived but Beatrice (left) been sneezing for two months now. Never progresses and she eats and drinks like a horse.

This shit was so common back in the day. Here is Massena we had the Aluminum Company of America aka ALCOA, build its 5th mass scale smelter thanks to a canal and hydro dam project. They bought up all the surplus canal land and built homes and sold them to their new workers.

Fun fact. Man has created a specific breed of chicken known as the broiler chicken. It grows to maturity in 3 months, will endlessly eat and if not culled will grow so fat that its legs won't support it, and typically die under a year.

I always tak about how l am in the middle of no where and disconnected from the mainstream USA, and this map came up that shows why. Heart is me and the circle is the southern half of St. Lawrence Valley. All those mountains south are like no man's land, the ADK Park.

In other backyard chicken news, we lost our brown sebright Pox last week. No signs of sickness or issues, just dead sitting in a nesting box. Another fun backyard chicken facts. They just die. For no apparent reason. Chickens have heart issues cause they are food to all.
