Her facade
Not made of deceit

But rather of her dreams
and passionate heat

Loose ends
began to arise

Her demons and fears
tore down the disguise

I see you

I look into your eyes

A million miles away

they are

From their dream
she did sway

Fears did abandon
Hopes did fade
Future turned dark

Dismay, disbelief

On the horizon yet
new unfettered dreams
awaited him

The pieces
so hard to find
after being shielded
by naive hope and trust

let alone
putting them
together again

Her wings of wax
were not meant
to fly close
to the sun

Passion melted
wings away
and to the inner demons
she did fall

The life she wanted
within her reach

But she pulled back
Fear took her mind
in some way

Then her heart turned away

There are hills and valleys
Twists and turns
Challenges and obstacles

But always keep moving
Keep moving forward
