Heat one of the few teams that can get Morant in line but won’t want to take a step back competitively. They get their starting PG while retaining Herro, Clarke and Huff supplement the loss of Ware. Griz get more talent than what Trae fetched and Roziers expiring. Pacers get their coveted center

Zubac ideally, but yeah its tough to make trades work. Kessler? Mark Williams for the midlevel? Hell, id take a 2 year flier on Vuc at this point

100% agree the longterm starting center is not on this roster. I feel Mathurin is a better trade chip to land a more impactful center, genuinely don’t feel Gafford moves the needle, especially since his play style is not an ideal fit

Yes Jarace is a disappointment but still 22 and has shown some tantalizing flashes- not ready to give up on him for an underwhelming player like Gafford, even tho he plays a position of need. Ijax salary is declining, he’s also making market back up center money, don’t think he’s overpaid.

Maybe, maaaaybe would do Obi straight up, but i wouldn’t feel great about it
December 16, 2025 at 2:44 AM
And while Gafford is better than Ijax right now, Im not convinced he will be over the duration of their contracts. Im also not convinced he’s much better than Huff who is leading the league in blocks, a 4O% capable outside shooter and making 15mil less than Gafford a year over the next few

Everything you’re putting out on this trade, in spirit, is spot on, you’re definitely dialed in and knowledgeable, I appreciate that. My pushback is, Pacers want a starting 5 that can stretch the floor, Gafford just isn’t that.

Pacers fan here, I would emphatically reject this trade. Walker and IJax are 22 and 23 and have too much potential for an overpaid and pedestrian center who can’t stretch the floor.

Matthews contract is fully guaranteed?
December 13, 2025 at 2:31 AM
Pacers fan here, good trade proposal. I’m genuinely on the fence, usually I have a hard yay or nay, but it’s intriguing if the 2nd received is the one coming from the Pels.

Addendum: You can assign low, high and protected picks. Im a mock trade fiend so I did this exercise for my own poop and giggles and im curious how they compare

Hi Alex, What draft capital value would you and Facci assign to each player. Example, is TJM a two second rounder player, or would he land a 1st?

Horrible trade for the Kings, might be the worst one ive seen this year. wouldn’t even trade Sabonis straight up.
December 3, 2025 at 10:28 PM
I remember when 2k came out with this and Turner fans got super pissy about Huff being ranked higher than him
November 30, 2025 at 5:30 PM
This is sacrilege for me to suggest but TJ is a trade to make at the deadline. There are a couple contending teams desperate for a point of his caliber. His absence would definitely assist in the tank. BM will have more value as a S&T this offseason
November 28, 2025 at 4:27 PM
It is possible Pacers sign a starting caliber center in FA using the midlevel, there are a few that will be available and might be willing to take that contract. Resigning BM and the midlevel will likely put Pacers in the tax but I believe the Simons do it, with Hali returning. Trade most likely

A move for next year. Pacers improve their top 3 pick odds and gain flexibility to restock the roster with rookie talent or use in a trade for a center this offseason. VanVleet has a PO next season which will be shed by the time Nesmiths extension kicks in. Good insurance if Mathurin is not retained

Toppin is out until Feb. but he bolsters Spurs thin big rotation for that playoff push and post season run. Barnes is expiring and Sochan is entering a qualifying year, Obi under contract 2 more seasons and arguably better than both. Bradley is a solid 3rd string big to replace Olynyk
November 26, 2025 at 10:49 PM
Rockets would get a starting caliber point in TJM for their house of cards backcourt. they get off VanVleets 2 seasons and get an expiring in Olynik, which gives more flexibility to resign Eason or flip one of their many bigs at the trade deadline. Shep and McLaughlin provide needed back court depth
