Last week, @nu-archives.bsky.social and the F.W. Olin Library in Oakland hosted a dual event to allow visitors to explore and learn about their Artists' Books Collections, containing works of art in book form.

But really, all books are in danger. Reasons have included children's horror, talking animals, language, and having graphic information (in a medical book).

Pick up a banned book and see what the fuss is about — and don't forget to tell us about it!

Another major reason books are banned or challenged is because of political themes, whether it's extolling or criticizing a political system, taking place amid political unrest, or simply celebrating a certain ethnicity.

Recently, the @nu-archives.bsky.social held an open house for members of the @huntnewsnu.bsky.social to engage with the Northeastern News collection. Students flipped through bound copies of the newspapers and even browsed articles via microfilm.
