I don't know who needs to know this, but Pro Publica has an online thing that will format a letter to your US health insurance company to demand the records behind a claim denial. (which the insurance is then legally required to provide in most cases)

Cooper’s good buddy Millie the insane Border Collie is here for a visit. After a morning when chaos reigned, we took them to a very cold Lake Michigan beach. Peace settles into the house.
But this is only temporary. They will awaken soon. I love these dogs.

Fall means time to start up the charcuterie. Tried something different: shoulder bacon. Takes a while to cure and smoke, but no complaints so far.
