Since then I have seen too many videos of people who voted for him saying that they never thought he was telling the truth about that. Same with immigration. The farmers were counting on the fact that he was lying about it. It's nuts that they are factoring in his lying to them.

My understanding is that these manufacturers have been buying, importing and storing stuff since the buffoon started rambling about the tariffs in the first place. So it probably won't be overnight, but the increased storage costs are already going to drive inflation.

Yelling at the public who voted R or didn't vote at all, maybe? The administrative state is the executive branch. We fight them in the courts which is happening. Dems yelling at the public who voted D is a bit of a waste of energy, don't you think?

Not true. They could easily ignore every single Democrat yelling that them. It only becomes hard to turn the wheel when the squishy Republicans start yelling with the Dems as well. Once the purple states start yelling, the rest of the GOP will start seeing the writing on the wall.

You put a Republican in the drivers seat then get all of the passengers to scream in unison at the driver while he goes the wrong way. But the driver still gets to turn the wheel. Not sure what good it does, but I guess you'll feel better.

If you think that you can get the entire Democratic Party in congress to vote against every single nomination then I think it's you who don't get it.

I don't know what is going on behind the scenes but different politicians have different political capital to spend. We won't be able to block them all, and there might be some damage to mitigate with a few well placed yes votes.

We'll see how they do on the most controversial of them, they all voted against Hegseth. If any vote for Bondi, Gabbard or Kennedy then I will pissed. I think Rubio should have got more pushback but at least he's "qualified". It doesn't matter much if Trump gets his impoundment powers though.

He did that with filibusters. You can't pass laws with a filibuster you can only block them. Right now there are not laws to block with a filibuster and they have no power over executive orders otherwise than to take them to court which dems are doing.
