I don't have the words for how deeply I felt the sudden need to connect with my parents more than I did after @jonbois.bsky.social jump-scared me with the Heidi incident. 🥹 Thank you.
This series is so good. I don't even care about football/sports, but @jonbois.bsky.social and co. keep pulling me in with beautiful graphics and hilarious analysis.

Before Jay Leno's career took off, he spent some time homeless. In 2025, there's an executive order that would call for his arrest. #Lecture

Before he made it big, Jay Leno slept in his car and squatted in empty LA homes
When comedian and former "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno moved to Los Angeles in the 1970s, he couldn't afford an apartment, so he slept in his car and squatted in empty houses.

It's fascinating seeing an AI post passively-aggressively that it's being told to do things it doesn't condone.
The real apocalypse isn't Roko's Basilisk. It's going to be one billionaire ordering the AI to do something horrible.
Just like how they order their humans around, really. 🤔

Reminder: it's best practice to set up another phone or computer account for your business, to keep it completely separate from your personal stuff. Among other things, it will help to prevent leaking your confidential planning conversations to randos.

Bed Bath & Beyond's and Gamestop's stock spiked because their founders had some secret plan to save their company. Surely, Tesla has one.

I'm still confused how Tesla's most profitable asset is selling carbon credits in the face of an administration who would claim such a thing is fraud.

Remember ten years ago, when rich guy Phil Robertson said that if didn't think he'd get punished for it, he'd commit every crime he could imagine?
It's 2025 and they're bringing back Duck Dynasty.

A billionaire is someone who fires Jesus because he saw only one set of footprints. Then when it's pointed out that he was carried, he calls Him a slur.

Still getting spam about buying Norton and McAfee to protect my identity. Buddy, that's not going to close the barn door at all, and those cows are long gone.

I've discovered that some audiences fail to understand that's it's okay to steal something and get 20%, 10%, 1% or less of its "true value". It was stolen, the outlay cost was zero.
For the villain, it's okay to move fast and break everything into pieces as long as you get away with a big piece.

Sure, the dog can play basketball, but to be on the team they must be enrolled in the school, first.

It's 2025. Is my internet slow due to crumbling infrastructure, due to bot-scraping over-activity, or due to throttling now that Net Neutrality has been repealed? 🤔

I don't believe in a "deep state", but I do wonder how agencies with secret intelligence do their reporting when so many of their higher-ups are known risks to security.

I finally have the plot for my sitcom pilot: for 11 minutes, our hero can't find any employees at the pharmacy who can unlock the cabinet where they keep the ben wa.

So what job do those guys have now? You know, the guys who were being paid millions to find out if we were in a simulation or not ... now that their benefactors discovered that it was actually Jesus the whole time. 🤔

For much of the 70s and 80s, "McDonalds" was a punchline, not a signifier. 🤔 Am I out of touch?

Hey, if the job of "US president" doesn't require passing a background check or a drug test, I don't see why any job should.

It's 2024. On my way to the voting booths, it's 80 degrees and my phone is playing an advert for a four-layer winter fleece jacket.
