Crazy that 2 PNGs posted on bluesky have convinced me to get back into GW2 after nearly 2 years lol

That said, this is a very biased article about it being invented by Vista lol. Vista had a similar style, as did a lot of software from that era. And up until a weak time, everyone seemed to be in agreement about how tacky the aesthetic of that era was.

Sure, but it's also basically what Apple just revealed. These are the kinds of aesthetics people have been laughing at for the past 10 years, but now Apple is pushing it so I guess we pretend it's a brand new and original aesthetic 🤷‍♂️

A bias is not necessarily malicious. A bias born from malice or ignorance is still a bias.

I'm sure openAI is pouring an obscene amount of money into R&D for a true AGI that isn't just another LLM model. Whether they actually achieve anything is a whole nother question, though.

It looks so awesome and so impractical at the same time

Sometimes you gotta skeet about how cursed it is when people call them skeets

This does actually happen in Antarctica where the population is a big larger. People who spend a lot of time at one of the larger scientific bases there tend to pick up a unique accent which only exists among the people there.

So the shitpost is a lot more realistic than you'd think

Wow, I didn't expect to see John Deere of all companies, with its heavily conservative customer base, to be making a stand here. Great to see!

Yeah, it's like the junk food media consumption. Nice in moderation, but horribly unhealthy if you overdo it. Most of society around the world is overdoing it right now.

I'm actively cutting down social media usage and getting back into audiobooks. Huge mental health improvement.

Frankly there's been TOO MUCH politics on here for the past couple of months.

Staying informed is important, but that doesn't mean we need to blast ourselves with the same news on repeat 24/7, hoping for the occasional cat pic to sneak in there somewhere.

Nobody is thinking audiobooks are somehow inferior, but people keep talking past each other and getting heated over literally nothing.

I think it's a semantic difference. One crowd is very firm on "it's listening not reading, in the same way that jogging isn't swimming." Then another crowd is hearing "audiobooks aren't reading" and are incorrectly assuming it's implying that audiobooks are lesser than physical books or ebooks.

Holy crap! I've never seen a picture of one relative to anything else and just assumed they were around the same size as large cows. Before I googled it I thought I was looking at an optical illusion here, that's crazy!
