This poem was an assignment for a poetry elective I'm currently taking in my graduate program. It's inspired by the poem "Water" by Wislawa Szymborska, and I'm quite proud of it.

My optometrist recommended reading glasses to reduce eye strain since I type words into a machine all day and I’m feeling Evelyn from “The Mummy” energy. 😎📚👻

The second is that I started grad school last week! If all goes well I’ll have an MA in Publishing next year!

My first book fair as an author! 🐈⬛📚💫 It was cold and far windier than necessary, but I made a few sales she shared the stage with other rad local authors and met a bunch of cool people! Worth shivering my black-clad butt off!
