That’s what I do with “The Disintegration Loops”. Those 4 cds are my companion for every drive to New York and back. And you’re right - it is pretty easy to speed once you settle into the music’s groove. But it’s perfect music for the thousand yard stare of each lonely American highway mile

Tim Hecker also released at least his first album under his name on there I believe. Maybe that and an ep? I definitely know “Haunt me” was on there. That was back when he made good records

Never had it, my man. Not it nor any other streaming service subscription and never will. Stealing from artists - which is what streaming is - makes you a raging cunt. Although I worry about the long term health of Bandcamp due to the pale horse that bought them and fired most of their staff…

I have a short video from your performance that I should dig up and send you. You were screaming into a microphone all black metal like. And I recorded it on a “VHS Cam” app for extra black metal vibes. I also remember telling you re: turn it down - “would they dare ask Michael Gira that?”

You had me at “Kate Bush”, although I’d love to see you perform again. Last time I saw you was 10 years ago in 2015 in Boston. You had us all lie on the floor so we could “feel” the music which was a great idea. Too bad the bellends next door asked you to turn it down before you even played a note

One time I wrote something like “as the plot clearly illustrates, the fluid right before turbulence was hit with a spatula” and then referenced a footnote that said “made you look!”. He did find that one funny. You can do it too: name variables: tjn, z_strdst and tn_mcn. No one will be the wiser

Sadly, no. That company has that as an output message forever now. I also leave little David Bowie references hidden in my code that no one also catches. I got that habit in grad school because my advisor never read anything I wrote, so I’d put nonsense in there to get his attention

(Yes, I know it’s not from “Ray Of Light”, but u did use that as an output statement in code I was writing to see if people reviewing it were paying attention)
