I get equally excited by finds from our current home though. Like the haul from the cupboard under the stairs when we ripped the carpet up. A jigsaw puzzle piece, two tidleywinks, a subbuteo player, a fishing weight, and a little metal fish.

250 years of discarded rubbish, lost treasures and papered over history. A pwrsonal favourite was this toy cat in a nappy. 1950s? Once squeaky but now mute, presumably once painted. A lovely little thing.

We previously lived in a 250 yr old cottage and dug up some amazing stuff in the garden. A patch of land that was beside an ancient pathway.... there was a hell of lot of Victorian china though. Time capsules, and part of its history that I reused as mosaic squares in garden paths.
