We believe our new logo is a vibrant and futuristic creation that represents Norfolk and Libraries perfectly - now and for future generations to come.

It’s bold. It’s out there. It’s controversial. It’s definitely real. It’s the new Norfolk Libraries logo.

Ideas that didn’t make it to the final design include Iwan Roberts, Delia Smith, a Cromer crab, Nelson, and the Norwich Castle crane.

➡️ Lasers because, like lightning bolts, they’re cool.

We also added a starry sky and a flat bit of grass to represent the flatness of Norfolk.

➡️ An inflatable canary that represents our glorious football club, Norwich City (Milk Cup Winners 1985).

➡️ A book with Alan Partridge’s face on it, because we needed a book somewhere.

➡️ A pot of mustard because we like mustard in Norfolk.

➡️ A Joyland snail because reasons.

The key design aspects of the logo are:

➡️ A giant N (in Comic Sans, the most hilarious of fonts) for Norfolk, because no one has ever thought of that.

➡️ Lightning bolts in the ‘N’ because lightning bolts are COOL.
