DM informed us afterwards, that if we hadn't stopped the leech queen from absorbing the horse (which was the last mimic) she would have gained 4000 HP and become a recurring problem for us 💦💦💦💦

Since the leeches got into Helian's (he's my Warlock) eyes, the Barb got a bit of PTSD from constantly being at death's door alone in the face of the thing and the one who got eaten, he's just really not okay the poor man. (Necromancers also have feelings 🥺)

Basically placing a limit on turns we still had to beat it.
One of us got eaten, our Barb stood solo facing the thing, bc it kept throwing everyone off the small cliff. We made it by a hair's width. But three of our party are scarred for life.

Dealt with a leech queen who infested a whole mountain, including local mimics that turned into corpses.
At some point, she started absorbing the mimics, growing so big the icon took up half the field, and our DM camly, but menacingly said:

But I agree. Kalindra has such an accomplished overall design, a large hat would disrupt it probably.
