Successful thin-section through a Jurassic brachiopod showing preserved "crura" or arms surrounded by radiating crystals of calcite. We use these successive slice to map the anatomy and define extinct species. See comparison to published image.

Earthquake tsunami? With large coastal earthquakes, the two variables to check are depth and "moment tensor." Shallow earthquakes are scary for tsunami (~10 km depth). But the type of rupture is seen in the moment tensor. This one is clearly strike-slip so no vertical movement. No large risk.
