Then, I connected it to evaluation: we (evaluators, program providers, funders, board members, etc.) often overvalue what those with money or power bring to a relationship while undervaluing what community members or “intended beneficiaries” bring.

I used the example that, generally—or at least for me specifically—we/I tend to overvalue what a male partner brings to a relationship and undervalue what I (a female) bring. 🤔
