As much as I love crisp cold winters, this felt like Spring. It was lovely down by the river Forth.

Lovely powder snow on the Ochils today. Wee Ben Shee, a favourite any time of year!

Ben Ledi ravens. They always check out your spot when you leave. Yesterday I left them some dog treats, much to the disgust of the dog I had with me. #BenLedi #ScottishCorbetts

Dog sitting. A wander up one of our favourite dog-walking local routes - a view point over-looking Stirling Uni campus. I wonder how long it will take the newly arrived freshers to find these wonderful woods with many paths!

Low sun, a dirty windscreen and a favourite tree. A glorious day in the Ochils. Grabbing a weather window before storm Gerret arrives!

Stirling University campus in glowing autumn colours. A lovely day for a local wander taking views to the Pentland hills with a very large looking River Forth and then to Ben Lomond and Ben Ledi, finishing off through the Uni woods.

Whippet walking at Lendrick Hill near Brig O' Turk. A glorious autumn day. I'm not good on fungi, but this one was a real beauty. #Scotland

I watch Rooks and sometimes they watch me. This guy arrived, drenched, one morning, hung around a bit, stared into my windows, got food, dried off and left again 😊

I fully expected to bump into Dracula when the sun finally set, I didn't. Also missed a wonderful display of the northern lights, visible just a mile or so away from here the other night. A flying visit home for some Wigtown Book Festival fun. #DunskeyCastle as the sun sets

Newly fledged Wood Pigeons from a nest in the house ivy. They are now sitting, very still, on the apple tree. Good luck youngsters!

Happy autumn equinox. Saying goodbye to summer and getting ready to embrace the dark season - the wonderful low light and the crisp, crisp crisp...hopefully not the soggy, soggy, soggy!
