This isn’t to say that the less economically advantaged in LA doesn’t need or can’t use more of a hand than celebrities, but the shadenfraude I’m seeing everywhere is disheartening and takes focus off the work needed now.

One woman posted on Facebook today that she was “cheering on” the fires every time she saw another multi million dollar house burn. A woman on another social media platform shared that she feels it’s weird to feel badly for someone like Aubrey Plaza, who recently lost her husband.
