Right? Talk about pol. science "puzzles"! I have threads of an answer: naive faith in institutional resilience; fear of repercussions, deep racism/misogyny (& despair/fatigue at their depth), the progressive/liberal schism, late-stage capitalism etc. But I'm 'trumped' by the onslaught's warp speed.
