It's the time of year for the "massacre of the roses" where we radically cut them down in spring time. It's always a bit heart breaking but they always come back better and denser a couple of weeks later! Totally worth it! 🌱

As an old family cross stitched advent calendar apparently got lost in one of the many moves or refurbs I have started making a new one. After 6 weeks I have finally managed to finish the first part!

Usually I wait until the 25th of May to post pictures of our lilac in bloom but this year I don't think they will last until then.
