Photo is me, mid-1970s, when I was adorable & and the world seemed to be headed in a better direction. I loved that hat. Quite content to be no one much, online and off.
To quote my (straight woman) best friend when we saw Thor Ragnarok: “what did they do to Chris Hemsworth?! I mean, still hot, but don’t you think those arms are … kinda grotesque?” And yes, yes I do.

“Can we just agree to hate (anyone else) more?”

Brilliant stuff! Too many so-called nature photogs just snapping pics without taking the time to get to know their subjects.

Does it scream when pushed off the roof?

I predict the expression “cutting off your nose to spite your face” will quietly die out as people start saying something like “tearing down your own house to own the libs” instead.

I know it’s not gonna happen, but wouldn’t it be a leeetle bit funny if after getting away with rape, 34 felonies, extortion, so many untold crimes, he was finally convicted of *and punished for* destruction of public property?

Kirksville, MO. Over 400, and fun, and yes “King Appliance” is out of business, but that wasn’t the king we were protesting.

Not a single jerk harassed us. TONS of cars honking in support.

I saw most of the members of my book club there, and all but one of the people from my tai chi class. Lots of neighbors, former colleagues, people I used to hang out with at the dog park. Parents of my kids’ friends. And, even more hearteningly, people I didn’t know!

All age groups pretty well represented. And lots of friendly dogs with opinions.

This this this!!! So many grandmas, so many students, so much fun. These are the same folks you’ll find at the United Way and food pantry fundraising events, at your yoga and tai chi classes. You know them and you love them.

Oh, that’s lovely to hear. My dad died so long ago, I just assume his whole cohort is also gone. My bad— but happy to be wrong!
