I would argue the new stuff in XCX DE was also pretty close to some concepts from Saga and that set up its own sequel as well. I just think that team has closed the book on Saga, especially because they couldn’t even get an HD port green lit from Bandai

I really don’t think they’ll ever go back to Saga because they’ve already basically repurposed most of the key concepts from Saga in the XC games. But I would absolutely kill for a XC2 DE

People get really weird about remakes sometimes. I think I wiped like twice in my whole 90 hour run of DQ7 on 3ds, and both of them were very early in the game when I had nothing to do other then fight or use items

God, please not GungHo. Really hoping Aksys doing the re-localization of Tokyo Xanadu is a sign that they would be first choice for the sequel

It’s probably a new IP and my guess is that it’s that project they have in the works with Nintendo. If it was Rule of Rose, or any other third party remake, I would think the publisher themselves would be announcing it and not the developers

It's crazier to me that Wilds is their worst selling game of the year. Nearly 1 mil is still good, but I have to imagine they expected their newest flagship title to do better than games from nearly a decade ago.
