Fine if it’s your own home but no decorations must be visible to the public before the 18th December (window lights, door wreaths etc).

Bold thought - across the aisle isn’t there enough of a centrist coalition with competence to govern and a realistic non-ideological view of what needs to be done?

B/c the traditional parties have proven they can’t govern even w/ massive majorities

feel stupid for thinking we might have actually got a budget w/ measures to simplify; remove cliff-edges; some honest on tax and all conducive to a real growth agenda

Unforgivable to be so bad at governance when you’ve witnessed a decade of stupidity from the previous lot

Financial services is littered with the broken dreams of cross selling and customer stratification

Can’t believe they are afraid of one day’s headlines and being “ripped apart” by Kemi at a single PMQs

The half-life of a broken manifesto promise is about 2 nanoseconds. The memories of indecision and a failed project will live much longer

Rarely seen such massive political effort into ensuring you stay out of power for another 10 years

Worse than the policy is the entire vibe. Growth needs possibility of hope and progress as well as sensible policy. This dour lot have failed to create any joy or excitement for their project

The fact our seasons have become optional is far more destabilising to me than economic and political decline.

It’s big coats and hearty food time if the year

You have described Clapham c 1990s. There was a healthy turnover of young people renting/buying flat then going elsewhere later in life

Sudddenly it stopped and people stayed put

No correlation at all there

Isn’t there also an element of what John Kay referred to as obliquely here?

If the goal is to reduce bias then an indirect approach - upping the quality - is a better route than always asking ‘is this biased’
