Not really loving the fact that Cirri, a warrior/witch girl (idk) from a medieval fantasy series, looks like she’s wearing more makeup than Bayta, an influencer from the future

After failing to make any progress in Silk Song, I have returned to clean, organize, and inventory my freezer. I apparently only have 15 unique items in there, which is good to know! I got a pantry organization app which I’m hoping will turn out to be useful—seems that way so far

I spent way too much time today deep cleaning my fridge since, one, it looked like a crime scene, and two, I needed an excuse to inventory & reorganize it, and found out I have 50 items in the fridge alone. I’m hoping to deep clean & inventory the freezer too, but my god. 50 items.

Like, in Hollow Knight, I had absolutely no idea about the lore (still don't, despite everything) and spent pretty much the majority of my first playthrough thinking I was the baddie. In this one, I feel like I have a decent enough grasp of the story right away to know I must be some sort of hero

Anyway, my glass bottle hoarding is now coming in handy as I do my second fermentation with pineapple! Don’t worry—I have PLENTY more empty bottles of passata 🥲 The milk bottle is because I ran out of pineapple & used mango for the remainder of the first fermentation.

3.5 weeks later, I’m pulling my first batch (not sure if that’s the correct terminology lol). I tried a sip of the plain kombucha & it was SOUR as HELL so I have no idea if that’s normal or if I accidentally made vinegar, but I was just going off of visuals :-)

Finally got my copy of @sefirotgame.bsky.social in the mail!! It’s so beautiful—I’m so excited to read the art book & learn more about tarot through this deck! I’m glad it has two solo modes as well, since it’ll be a while before I find someone to play with me 🥰

It’s nice to know that Bioshock has only sat untouched in my Steam library for 8 years. On March 19, 2028 I’ll be sure to finally play it on the 10th anniversary of my purchase

I’m about 3000 pages into the Wheel of Time books & Robert Jordan is still doing the “honey it’s time for your ‘I wish Rand/Perrin were here, he always knew how to talk to girls!’” bit 😭 It’s the third book!!! It’s been a year!!! You’ve met girls!!!

Had a very exciting morning at a pick-your-own produce farm! And now I’m having a sick day (the vampire rumors will be harder to deny if I keep getting so miserable after every bit of sun) so now I’m watching Samurai Jack for the first time ever 🙂

I think people’s discomfort is honestly pretty valid. As soon as I saw her album’s new cover, I immediately thought of these old ads. It doesn’t really come across as satirical or campy—if that was her goal, I think her team should’ve gotten more feedback & workshopped it before publishing.

Like Jennifer said, most of it is performative, but whether or not it’s sincere, ultimately USian culture emphasizes positivity much more than the other countries I’ve been in (current events notwithstanding)
