It's the stupidity saying you get to sleep longer that gets me. Getting up at 6:30 am is still getting up at 6:30 am regardless of the height of the sun above the horizon; you only sleep longer if you go to bed earlier. Kinda like the amp going to 11, don't you think?!

I would say "The Sheep Look Up" by John Brunner is more apropos of the present situation. The ultra-rich will not be leaving planetside any time soon, and while they will weather the initial disasters and calamities better than the hoi polloi, it will eventually get them.

I was told by a practicing psychologist that the only people who ever wonder if they're on the spectrum, ARE on the spectrum. Everyone else adamantly denies even the faintest suggestion of being on the spectrum. So yeah, it starts with self-diagnosis.

In my professional life as a PT, I encourage people to research their symptoms online. Getting that diagnosis can be arduous, but I encourage folks to pursue formal diagnoses because if you know what you have, you'll have a much easier time managing your symptoms. Self diagnosing is a good start.
