after playing guilty gear strive and darkest dungeon 2 so much i think "3D stylized as 2D" might be my favorite general art style....... still <3 pixel art tho

don't know if this sounds like a birdbrain take to people, but i honestly think in game tutorials for fighting games will never compare to fanmade resources and they should just spend that time on other things. perhaps even link to wikis and stuff in game?

honestly, i always thought most concerns about internet censorship were kind of alarmist and unrealistic (perhaps me being naive)... i am being currently being proven wrong. scary.........

if i had a nickel for every youtuber who got popular by analyzing the lore of a popular indie game and then went on to make their that's very light on story, i'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

a friend of a friend who doesn't play games genuinely thought that Guilty Gear was an album rather than a game...... i guess the "Daisuke's album comes with a free game!" has something to it, lol

i feel like deltarune has been pretty dang close to perfection. if toby and his team can maintain this level of quality, they've easily got my favorite game of all time on their hands. (also, it's reinvigorating my urge to make an RPG..)

gotta say i was extremely impressed with ENA Dream BBQ. i though it would be kinda neat but jank - but it was actually very polished. the atmosphere from the 1st second was immaculate. it feels like an evolution of the "LSD Dream Simulator" type games with just a bit more structure, which i loved
