Oregon's original state Constitution made it a sundown state.
In 1916, Oregonians voted to keep Section 6 of Article II of the constitution, which read "No negro, Chinaman or mulatto shall have the right of suffrage", even though it had been rendered void by the Fifteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.[5][6] In 1927, Oregonians finally decided to remove this suffrage exclusion from their constitution.[

A dude shot up a pizza place because they wouldn't let him into the basement they don't have 9 years ago! And apparently said guy pulled a gun on a cop and is now dead.
On January 4, 2025—eight years after the initial incident at Comet Ping Pong—two police officers from Kannapolis, North Carolina, pulled over Welch's vehicle at a traffic stop over an outstanding warrant for his arrest for a felony probation violation (Welch was a passenger in the vehicle). When they attempted to arrest him, he pulled out a gun and refused orders to drop it, and the officers shot him. Welch died two days later.[63][64][65]

Government is just the name we give to things we choose together. When people denigrate "Government" they are denying community.
What mutual aid groups and even H-E-B show us, whether they mean to or not, is that mutual aid and volunteering are not the opposite of government; they are what government ought to be. Taxes are just a sandbag brigade stretched across thousands of miles.
