The angle isn't impossible, but trickier to make look correct. If you tilt your 'camera' angle a bit more down or up it might be easier to line the angles up or hide complex detail thats tricky to angle correctly.

I think I see the geometry you mentioned "feeling off."

I think you may have made the 'shot angle' harder on yourself by being nearly straight on and from the side slightly/slightly down. You see both the top of the ledge she's sitting on, but also the underside of the roof overhang.

If I point this out to family, the auto response from them all is "what about so and so" and then immediately dismiss or ignore the blatant corruption i outlined in detail.
