Well done to the people of Brookings and beyond! We had over 550 people from all over the area, join together this afternoon to say "No Kings!" in america. It was wonderful to see everyone join together peacefully, energetically, and passionately for democracy!

I'm not usually a very positive person, so I just want to take a moment to document this moment. I just had a great birthday surrounded by coworkers that I enjoy working with at a job that brings me fulfillment, spending time with my closest friends, and answering birthday texts. I feel fulfilled.

Starting the audio book "They Came for the Schools" by Mike Hixenbaugh. I've had this book on hold from my local library for months. Guess it has gained some traction due to current events... 🤔
