Monty Zooma spent time at the vet's yesterday and today. He's home now but exhausted. Hoping and praying all of this is behind him now, and he's on the road to recovery.

Just watched this film on Hulu. I knew it had won awards, but I didn't know more than that. Sometimes stars align. I was so moved. The lessons of the past made relevant for our challenging present.

There were 8 people let go in my division yesterday. All of them were valued employees of many years, holding corporate memories & knowledge that are now lost. A grim day. Today isn't much better. Just a matter of time . . .

My parents had four of their adult children living nearby when I was growing up: Raymie, Danny, Jimmy, & Betty. Every so often, Mom and Daddy would decide to go visit one of them. I don't know what might have been the impetus for these visits. I was always brought with them.

I'm rewatching The X-Files. Feels like the right time. Maybe it will be a little therapeutic. The truth is out there.
