"Thank you for your attention to this matter"

Whew, at least he didn't threaten to write a nasty letter.

Grabbed these pics of the protest yesterday from FB. Apparently the protest in our little (12,000 pop) county seat made the New York Times. Really proud of those who attended. I so wish I could have. (I'd estimate crowd size was about the same as the BLM protest in 2020.) If you knew how red this

Here's Baby. Vet says maybe 7 weeks old. Doing better with antibiotics and ointment for her eyes. She's eating well so I think she's gonna be OK.

Missy LOVES her, it was love at first sight. Violins playing and heart eyes. She insists on laying close by ao she can stand guard over her.

So, we have a... situation. Hubby found this poor little stray baby in our neighbor's garage. I think she's maybe 4 weeks old, so tiny and pathetic so we now have one more kitten to take care of on top of the 4 we already have. Heaven help me. 🙄 Anyway, her name is Eden Winifred and she's adorable.

As a former listener of Glenn Beck (yeah, I know) I idly wondered how he viewed Trump's tariffs, knowing how he preached many a lesson on Smoot Hawley. Didn't seek it out because I was pretty sure I knew the answer but a quick scroll on FB accidentally provided it.

Trump's Tariffs are "chemo".

One side is quilted in a honeycomb pattern, a second is soft white fleece with round silicone beads on a nylon thread, third is a white angle gray chevron with rick rack, 4th is yellow with bees, 5th is yellow and white gingham and a bee applique, 6th is gray with yellow and white dots.

The cube and taggie toy have satin and textured ribbons for baby to play with and a wooden ring to teeth on. The cube has a honeycomb shape to hide in a pocket and hexagonal silicone beads on a nylon thread loop.

So, I'm getting serious about sewing items to sell in an Etsy shop. I'm waffling about whether to sell something like the following as a set or separately. The sensory cube is approx 4 by 4 inches. The matching honeycomb taggie toy is 6 inches.

(Or kentucky) and need somebody to do your remodeling, call him! (And tell him thanks from the ladies he helped change a tire on that cold morning in February!

Here's some of the stitches - also have monogram stitches but I'm gonna have to play with it before i'll show them - there's a way to adjust it so the letters look better but I was over it for today. I'm gonna have to play with the quilting features, the entire reason I purchased it. But I've got a

So I'm actually pretty happy. There's a ton I haven't experimented with yet but so far so good. It has sooo many decorative stitches. Probably will never use half of them but I have them- that's what matters! 🙄 I haven't figured out how to auto thread the needle yet but it'll happen. Probably.

The mat is reversible- the other side is plain white so a child can create their own polar landscape. It measures 18 X 24 and I'll probably include a storage bag when I get ready to sell these.

The mountain unsnaps to fold flat for easy storage, as does the ice bridge. The iceberg is flannel.
February 4, 2025 at 12:08 AM
The ice bridge/snow cave/ glacier crevasse is a prototype as well - I'll probably tweak the design but it's good enough for a family of polar bears to shelter in or an arctic hare to hide from a fox.
February 4, 2025 at 12:08 AM
I had to order little animals to stage it - my kids are grown and any little toys like this are packed away. Trying not to be too pedantic but there can be NO penguins beside polar bears. The walrus might need to go as well. 🤔
February 4, 2025 at 12:08 AM
Here's one of the projects I've been working on: a quilted arctic/ polar playmat. Its just a prototype but I'm pleased with it. The snow is soft flannel. There are ice floes, an iceberg, an ice bridge/snow cave, and a mountain.

My son sent a pic this morning of Daisy playing with her doll and her Target shopping cart. ❤️

I made it not knowing what the nursery would look like but I did pretty well. They even used it for a newborn photo shoot.

Here's the quilt I made Daisy. I love the colors and fabrics. I am still super pleased with it.

I've been going stir crazy as I slowly recuperate. So I finally felt better enough to make a little quilt for the baby doll I made for my granddaughter. Since I sill had fabric from the baby quilt I made her, I made this quilt to (sort of) match. It's not perfect but she'll like it.
January 9, 2025 at 10:17 PM
My son just sent me a little video of Daisy getting groceries with him which is cute enough. But she was carrying the doll I made her for Christmas and that lifted my spirits.

I got a lovely souvenir from my surgery yesterday. Here's my pretty bruise from the IV. It ended being a good vein but she had to back up and reset it from the start & it started bruising *immediately*. I wasn't upset but the poor nurse was. Doesn't even hurt. It's almost the size of my palm, tho. 😱

this procedure. Really hoping it improves my quality of life.🙏🤞

For now, I've got pain meds and a scope patch that is keeping the inevitable post surgery nausea at bay. And I've got a sweet pupper guarding me faithfully.
