Hi, European here. You could try 'Deutsche Welle'. They are originally a public broadcaster, but now cover a lot of their news through their websites and apps. They have a good reputation of being an independent news source and they publish in English.

Let's talk about alternatives for Meta today. For most people, two of the more difficult Meta accounts and applications to close are WhatsApp and Messenger. We all want to stay reachable for our friends and family and these applications provide an easy way to do that.

I fully understand why some people, for example artists and small local businesses, are looking for alternatives (e.g Pixelfed) for Facebook and Instagram. Personally, I think I am more similar like you and I am actually content that I do not have a Facebook/Instagram like account anymore.

It is one of the easiest good choices to make in 2025. I have yet to meet someone who did not just feel happiness and relief after nuking their Meta accounts!

Selv uten den problematiske forretningspraksisen til Facebook er det mange grunner til å slutte med Facebook. En av dem er faktisk det forferdelige UI.

Check out 'Pixelfed' as an alternative for Instagram. No pushy algorithm, clutter or advertisements. You follow and only see what you choose to see. It might be a good place for you to share you crafts with the rest of the world too.
