I try not to freak out that we have sleep walked into another world war just like we did in 1939. I thought we were better than this but sadly this is not so. Appeasement & weakness, division and inequity were the recipe then & are again now.

There are some that are in fact hard at work with this dream of creating an Australian energy superpower
Should be front page news

“World-first analysis of the superpower trade finds 🇦🇺 could contribute up to 9.6% of the world's emissions reductions while generating 6-8 times larger revenues than those typical from Australian fossil fuel exports”

Superb @thejuicemedia.bsky.social ad reminding Australian voters that, unlike in the USA and the UK, our preferential voting system allows us to elect principled independent MPs who can influence govt legislation from the cross-bench. #auspol #AusVotes2025 youtu.be/-oxQ5fmiI9M?...

The list of things affected by this malaise continues to grow. Who would have known that beyond the uncanny valley was a gigantic bog of enshitification, but beyond that still may yet lie sunlit plains of magnificence…maybe
Australia’s oldest dictionary of Australian English has chosen “enshittification” – a slang term referring to the deterioration of products and services online – as the word of 2024.
Australia’s Macquarie Dictionary names ‘enshittification’ word of the year
Australia’s Macquarie Dictionary says term captures widespread sense that things are getting worse.

Thank you for this. Going to try all three approaches in a project I am working on to form choirs or numerous models & evaluate discord across the choir.
C.S. Peirce 3 kinds of inference methods (i.e., deduction, induction and abduction). In fact, semiotics, he argued, was a superset of logic (i.e., deduction). Now a century later, we are wondering why Large Reasoning Models are not enough.
A blindspot for AI reasoning engines like o1 is that they all appear to be trained on very traditional deductive problem solving for chain of thought

What would a model trained on induction or abduction do? What about one trained on free association? Expert heuristics? Randomized exquisite corpse?

Something to think on. 20 years ago to this day (November 18) the Polar Express was released. It’s CGI was cutting edge & too close to the uncanny valley for some. I wonder how far off a ‘remaster’ is to give it modern CGI uplift?

Personalised learning with human teachers inspiring, coaching, orchestrating, moderating and enhancing AI based learning.
This will change education forever:

1. Copy a lesson and paste it on ChatGPT.
2. Ask it to formulate questions about the lesson.
3. Answer the questions and ask ChatGPT to evaluate your answer.

Look at the attached conversation.
