Yeah, in addition to the odd proxy for mental health, each "year" that the study encompasses is actually made up of an entirely different group of people ("observational study", rather than "longitudinal study")

Consider this: Patient A saw a therapist 10 times in a year, and patient B saw a therapist 20 times in a year. Which patient has better mental health? Not enough information to tell!

Basically, all this study found was that trans people are more likely to see therapists.

This study is mentioned in the "studies to watch out for" section of my research doc.

The important thing to understand about this study is that it didn't actually assess mental health outcomes. It simply evaluated frequency of mental health visits, which is a questionable proxy for mental health.

I'd be pretty happy with any answer that can articulate how gender is a social dynamic and that trans women engage in that dynamic as women.

That also happens!

And with how a lot of these definitions include clauses like "would have been capable of", plenty of presentations of intersex conditions could slot into both of their definitions.

There have even been case studies of intersex people who have produced both types of gametes (sci-hub.se/10.1002/bjs....)

the prism aspect shifts light around to correct issues due to the eyes not syncing up with each other.

It's an overall uncommon vision issue that seems to have a significant overlap with ADHD.

"BVD" is the term to look up if you're interested in learning more!

it often boils down to them believing in gendered souls.

which is a nonfalsifiable argument, but it also means they have no logical recourse against the counterargument that trans women have female souls.
