So you are saying we should not believe Israeli women on rape. I understand you link about no formal complaints about rape, but does mean rape did not happen; enough articles by reputable sources that found evidence and women who I believe. Also, in Judaism we bury the dead right away.

Speakers from Kfar Aza. Kids were killed, people burned alive, raped. Palestinians do not deserve their treatment, but the people who were the victims of Oct 7 did not deserve it. Even if you say it is Israeli's fault, not all Israelis & Jews. Human life should be priority. Sorry if unclear

Tell that to the survivors who I have met. Don't deny their experience. This is what the right wants.
March 7, 2025 at 1:38 AM
Do not mean to be passive. Apologies if came off this way. I agree with you. I just have not heard non-Jews concerned with Palestinian rights, which is valid, acknowledge the deaths of the Israelis, as if those life also do not matter. They all matter.
March 7, 2025 at 1:37 AM
That is not all of us and not my world. I am listening to Palestinian and Jews now from IfNotNow talking about uniting against Project Esther.
March 7, 2025 at 1:35 AM
Even if you think that is so, it does not mean any human life more important than another. Life is precious.
March 7, 2025 at 1:34 AM
Agreed, the Israeli gov has killed innocent children. Does not mean okay Hamas killed, tortured people including kids. Two wrongs do not make it okay. That is all. I understand the power differential. Not fair that Jews are being blamed for what Israeli gov does.

I believe they have a right to autonomy and Bibi is a monster. Hamas is also a terrorist organization, but I acknowledge Bibi empowered Hamas. I agree, right now, Palestinian situation is immediate, but why cannot we say no innocent civilians deserved death, torture, starvation?
March 7, 2025 at 1:30 AM
The Nakbha is true, but so is the Holocaust and displacement of 850,000 Jews from Arab lands and Iran in the 20th century are all true. Why can't there be space to talk about it all?

Project Esther is coming, Heritage Foundation in the guise of helping Jews, is attaching free speech in terms of those who speak against Israel. People with disagreements on Israel must unite to stop authoritarianism. We need to discuss nuance. forward.com/opinion/6760...
The group behind Project 2025 has a plan to protect Jews. It will do the opposite.
Project Esther is the Heritage Foundation's attempt to use the fight against antisemitism to curtail civil liberties.

No matter who one supports in any conflict, why can’t people agree that all human life is priority? I am tired of the left and the right somehow implying that the other side had it coming to them. Innocent civilians didn’t deserve it.
March 2, 2025 at 11:23 AM
These Israeli government is problematic in its actions. This does not justify equating its actions with that of all Jewry, which has been happening because of antisemitism. This doesn’t justify the right wing American government using Jews, as an excuse to oppress free speech on Palestine.
March 2, 2025 at 11:12 AM
There is truth that if people don’t feel like they have a choice they resort to desperate actions, but that doesn’t mean that the people who were the victims of October 7 deserved it. It also doesn’t mean that people have a right to engage in cruelty. Nuance is worth discussing.

Also Zellnoire Myrie, Jessica Ramos, Zohran Mamdani. I am sure missing others.
March 2, 2025 at 12:28 AM
Agreed. When I say Israeli kids were killed too, I am not trying have a moral equivalency. Just that no kids deserved it.

In terms of 10/7, Hamas is guilty. So is Bibi who diverted soldiers to the settlements, which is Palestine, instead of having soldiers guard Israel.

Thanks for your reply. Wanted to engage as to acknowledge sacredness of human life. No kids deserve this. Also a reminder Arab Jews & Palestinians have a shared history; this is relevant now. You are right about Palestine.
March 2, 2025 at 12:05 AM
Not what I am saying at all. None kids deserve it. Horrible what happening in Gaza. I just feel now under Trump especially we are being divided. Many Jews and Palestinians agree and we need work together.
March 1, 2025 at 11:59 PM
I agree with you about violence against Palestinian children. Sorry if unclear. This doesn’t mean we should not acknowledge the brutality of October 7 against Israelis by Hamas, but also Bibi. He was so obsessed with pleasing the right & infiltrating Palestinian land he didn’t protect the people.
March 1, 2025 at 11:14 PM
But, not all Jews. In my experience it feels like people forget that. See for example www.ifnotnowmovement.org

Understood. Thanks. We should be valuing human life above all else. You’re right we can’t say that there’s justification for one violence in response to another violence.
We have to acknowledge all of the violence. We have to acknowledge inequities and power in past & present.

No child deserved to die. Not the babies massacred by Hamas, nor the babies who died from malnutrition or hypothermia or lack of medical care because of these Israel government.

There are a lot of great folks running. We have rank choice voting so somehow to convince people not to rank Adams or Cuomo at all.
March 1, 2025 at 10:04 PM
There’s a lot of great people running, and we have ranked choice voting. The concern is of course for Cuomo name recognition. How do we make encourage folks not to rank Adams or Cuomo at all?

Any chance, though that if there is backlash against Trump that Vance gets it too? Vance does not have the sway over folks like Trump does.

I think that’s part of the reason he’s extra happy to defer to Elon Musk. Besides his delusions of power, I do think some of it has to do with acquiescing responsibility.
