Despite the fanfare, its highly likely the Safeway site will be flipped & sit idle for years. Later a new owner will come to the City, seeking revisions - wanting condos. The developer industry has always wanted to sell those views. By then, current staff & Councillors will have moved on #vanpoli

We need AFFORDABILITY near a transit hub. Yes to density! But this REIT is getting OFF THE HOOK in providing affordable units. The City can do better than this!
