Hello there
He is the purpose given to those with no purpose. The deity who wishes for a world full of warriors. The deity who kills for the sake of killing and exists to die. The first and last sun, Tezcatlipoca.

and that is why he moves the boat with conflicts and war. A stagnant river can not carry a passenger. The river always needs to be moving. Such is the case with humanity. Civilizations need to go extinct in order for other civilizations to emerge.

Time is a passenger carried by the river of the universe. As long as anything exists to carry it, then nothing is truly gone. That is why he believes that wars and conflicts are needed, it’s because as long as the river that carries time exists, nothing can truly end,

Tezcatlipoca in not as cold-hearted and vain as he seems, he states to ritsuka that even if the battle is lost and everything is destroyed, it doesn’t mean that everything ended, and that life continues onward, and that there is something that can never end and that thing is time

The reason for that is that humanity never stopped worshipping him, for the moment that he stops existing humanity will have been long gone.

All of these conflicts and “wars” are encouraged and welcomed by tezcatlipoca. He blesses all of the people who fight and persevere. He also equally encourages all-out massacres and wars. Tezcatlipoca is revealed to be one of the few gods that still exist in the modern day.

The conflicts differ in their meaning and their type all throughout typemoon as one type of conflict could be a man trying to cut his ideals, or a man fighting his urges and his other self to become a better human, while some fight others to protect what’s dear to them.

That is the same reason why Kiritsugu’s and Amakusa’s wishes were misguided as they couldn’t understand the fundamental truth of humanity.

The deity that embodies humanity also believes in the core principle of humanity “conflict”. As outlined by Kotomine and as seen throughout Type-Moon conflict is humanity, without it there will be no humanity.

He lies, but he hates outright cruel lies. He negotiates peacefully and kills quickly. He likes guns, and yet he’s bad at using them. He is a fatalist, yet he encourages others to fight their fate.

Tezcatlipoca embodies the very core of humanity in Type-Moon, as humanity is filled with contradiction so is this deity, in a way he is the most humane deity in Type-Moon both literally and figuratively, as evident in his glaring contradictions as an individual.
